Subscription Exchange Policy

1. Overview
This Exchange Policy governs how subscribers can change their subscription plans on the Khoroga platform. "Exchange" refers to upgrading, downgrading, or changing your subscription period (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual).
2. Types of Plan Changes
2.1 Upgrade
Moving to a higher-tier plan or longer subscription period.
Examples:
- Monthly → Quarterly
- Monthly → Semi-Annual
- Monthly → Annual
- Quarterly → Semi-Annual
- Quarterly → Annual
- Semi-Annual → Annual
2.2 Downgrade
Moving to a lower-tier plan or shorter subscription period.
Examples:
- Annual → Semi-Annual
- Annual → Quarterly
- Annual → Monthly
- Semi-Annual → Quarterly
- Semi-Annual → Monthly
- Quarterly → Monthly
2.3 Period Change (Same Tier)
Changing your billing cycle without changing service level.
3. Upgrade Policy
3.1 When Upgrades Take Effect
Upgrades take effect immediately upon payment confirmation.
3.2 Pricing for Upgrades
- You will be charged the prorated difference between your current plan and the new plan for the remainder of your billing period
- Your new billing cycle begins from the upgrade date
3.3 Upgrade Process
- Log into your Khoroga account
- Navigate to "Subscription" or "My Plan"
- Select your desired upgrade
- Complete payment for the prorated amount
- New features activate immediately
3.4 Payment Methods for Upgrades
- Card (Auto-renewal): Same card or new card
- Wallet: Same or different wallet
- Fawry: Fawry, wallet, or card
Note: Upgrading from manual renewal (wallet/Fawry) to card payment will enable auto-renewal for future billing cycles.
4. Downgrade Policy
4.1 When Downgrades Take Effect
- Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle
- You retain access to your current plan's features until then
4.2 No Partial Refunds for Downgrades
- No refunds or credits are provided for the difference between plans
- You have already paid for and can use your current plan until it expires
4.3 Downgrade Process
- Log into your Khoroga account
- Navigate to "Subscription" or "My Plan"
- Select "Change Plan" and choose your desired plan
- Confirm the downgrade
- Your new plan activates at the next billing date
4.4 Annual to Monthly/Quarterly Downgrades
If you are on an annual plan and wish to downgrade:
- Your annual plan continues until expiration
- The new plan (monthly/quarterly) begins after your annual plan ends
- No partial refund is provided for unused months
5. Billing Cycle Changes
5.1 Switching from Manual to Auto-Renewal
If you currently pay via wallet or Fawry and want to switch to card payments with auto-renewal:
- Wait until your current subscription period ends, OR
- Contact support to arrange an immediate switch (prorated charges may apply)
- Add your card details
- Future renewals will be automatic
5.2 Switching from Auto-Renewal to Manual
If you currently pay via card and want to switch to wallet or Fawry:
- Cancel your auto-renewal before the next billing date
- Your current subscription remains active until it expires
- Renew manually via wallet or Fawry before expiration
Important: You must cancel auto-renewal at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged.
6. Exchange Restrictions
6.1 Not Allowed
- Exchanging a subscription that was purchased with a promotional discount for a full-priced plan with partial credit
- Multiple downgrades within a single billing period
- Plan changes on accounts with outstanding payments
- Plan changes on suspended or terminated accounts
6.2 Cooling-Off Period
- If you upgraded by mistake, contact us within 24 hours and we may reverse the transaction at our discretion
- This is not guaranteed and is evaluated case-by-case
7. Promotional and Discounted Plans
7.1 Upgrading from a Promotional Plan
- If you upgrade from a discounted plan, the promotional discount does not carry over
- You will pay the full price difference to the new plan
7.2 Downgrading to a Promotional Plan
- Promotional pricing is only available to new subscribers or during active promotions
- Existing subscribers cannot downgrade to promotional rates
8. Data and Listing Continuity
8.1 During Upgrades
- All your business listing data, analytics history, and settings are preserved
- New features become available immediately
8.2 During Downgrades
- Your business listing data is preserved
- Features exclusive to your current (higher) plan will be disabled when the downgrade takes effect
- Analytics data remains accessible based on your new plan's data retention limits
9. How to Request a Plan Change
9.1 Self-Service (Recommended)
- Log into your account at khoroga.app or the Khoroga app
- Go to Settings → Subscription → Change Plan
- Follow the on-screen instructions

10. Refunds Related to Plan Changes
- Upgrade: No refund (you pay difference)
- Downgrade: No refund or credit
- Mistaken upgrade (within 24h): Case-by-case review
- Service issues after upgrade: Account credit at discretion

Q: Can I upgrade in the middle of my billing cycle?
A: Yes, upgrades are effective immediately. You pay only the prorated difference.
Q: Can I downgrade in the middle of my billing cycle?
A: You can request a downgrade anytime, but it takes effect at your next billing date. No refund for the current period.
Q: Will I lose my analytics data if I downgrade?
A: Your historical data is preserved, but access may be limited based on your new plan's features.
Q: Can I switch from Fawry to card payment?
A: Yes, you can add a card and enable auto-renewal at any time.
Q: What happens if I don't renew my manual subscription?
A: Your listing will be deactivated. You have a 7-day grace period to renew before data may be affected.
12. Changes to This Policy
Khoroga reserves the right to modify this Exchange Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated via email and posted on our platform. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
13. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Cairo.
